1. Manali: Adventure Hub of Himachal
Most people plan for Manali when children’s holidays start like in April, May, June, month but believe me that Manali is the most beautiful after September. If you plan after September in October, November, December, then Manali’s beauty is on a different view. October, November, December are the most preferable months for honeymoon couples but if you are a snow lover then for you December, January, and February are the most preferable months. In March, most children have their exams but after April when children’s holidays start then after that there is a lot of gathering and April to June are such months which are high season, high cost and you are coming here to see the crowd only. So if you are planning and you have time then take some time out and plan for Manali in October, November, December, January, February, and maximum till March. During this time Manali is the most beautiful and also the cheapest. Manali is a paradise for adventure enthusiasts, offering activities like paragliding, rafting, and skiing. Many times, due to heavy snow, Rohtang Pass does not open, and if your trip is planned early before the pass opens, you cannot visit Rohtang Pass. In such a case, Sissu Pass is a good alternative if you cannot go to Rohtang Pass. Sissu is a beautiful village located on the banks of the Chandra River, known for its waterfalls and serene landscapes. The Sissu Waterfall is a major attraction.

If you have time, I always suggest spending one night in Keylong. Keylong is a small city, but when you are ascending from Rohtang Pass towards Keylong, you will get an amazing view of the snow melting from the high altitude and forming waterfalls as they flow down. You will see many waterfalls when you look back at Rohtang Pass.
Expert Advice: Include this destination only if you have 2 extra days because one day will be spent traveling from Rohtang Pass to Keylong, and if you spend a night there, you will need another night back in Manali. So, plan for Keylong only if you have two extra nights. Believe me, Keylong is a very beautiful place. When you are descending from Rohtang Pass, you will see many waterfalls formed by melting snow flowing downwards. It is an amazing view when you are looking back towards Rohtang while heading towards Keylong. Visit during summer as winters are extremely harsh.
